In 1998 Kelly Fleming acquired a very special 300-acre property in Simmons Canyon, just south of Calistoga, where oaks framed the property, tucked up against the canyon’s sloping hillsides.  Wildflowers, wildlife, the heartbeat of nature---it was a magical estate.  She planted 12 acres of vineyards in 1999, focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon. She  dug caves from the rock hillside and built a stone winery reminiscent of buildings you see in southern France. In 2010 the first grapes were crushed. In the ensuing years, visitors enjoyed the setting, the wines and Kelly’s uniquely elegant hospitality.
